Every morning Ora zeros the ring on a pine dowel we keep by the still. If the zero drifted, the kettle does not open.
A feeling is a story. A dowel is a number. Wrap count is written on the kettle card in layers at two stations, wedges and long irons on separate stills, because Hub City humidity does not lift a set evenly.
